Eligibility
How do I join the "I Can Fly" Spring 2013 Vancouver Program?
First, you must meet some basic requirements:
- Be enrolled full-time in GRADE 11 in a public or private high school within the Greater Vancouver Area
- Have transportation to and from the Vancouver downtown and Vancouver International Airport area
- Have demonstrated interest in commercial aviation.

Can I join the program if I entered high school in Fall of 2012?
Applicants must be enrolled full time in Grade 11 in a public or private high school by Fall of 2012 in order to apply.
Can I join the program without the consent from my parental/guardian?
Applicants under 18 years must have the consent from their parents or guardians before applying to the program.
I do not have any aviation activities experience, can I still apply?
We are looking for candidates who are passionate about the aviation and travel industry. Experience in these areas demonstrates your level of enthusiasm. However, we encourage all interested candidates to apply.
Who sponsors the program?
Cathay Pacific Airways is the sponsor of the program in cooperation with YVR Airport, MacLaren McCann Vancouver, CLS Catering Services to ensure a wide range of education experiences for the participants.
How much does this cost?
Cathay Pacific supplements the cost of the program for 'I Can Fly' participants. However, transportation to and from meetings is the responsibility of each participant.
Who oversees the program?
Cathay Pacific provides adult advisors to guide student progress. These are Cathay Pacific employees who volunteer their time to help young people learn more about commercial aviation careers.
Can I join the program if I am a Cathay Pacific staff member or immediate family member?
No. Cathay Pacific staff members and their immediate family members are NOT eligible for the 'I Can Fly' program.

The first 'I Can Fly' Program was launched in January 2003 in Hong Kong. Over 3,200 Hong Kong students have graduated from the program.
